Having been involved with the renewables industry for the last five years, our original business model was to carry out installation work for other accredited organisations. However, with the growing demand for PV installations, increased number of direct enquiries, and considerable experience gained in this area we decided to work hard towards achieving our own accreditation. We were awarded MCS accreditation in March 2011.  This allows us to project manage, install and certify solar PV panels. We still maintaining the important relationships we have built up with other MCS accredited companies and carry out the installation and certification of solar PV panels as a subcontractor.

We now have a large warehouse facility and a new office block.  We are conveniently located on the A711 between Dalbeattie and Dumfries and our office is a comfortable environment for clients to drop in at any time and visit us.

The current electrical contracting market is the most competitive it has been for many years with many contractors relying on public sector works.  Lotus Electrical Services Ltd has entered 2011 with a determined attitude to find savings within our own systems rather than compromising on quality.  With these savings our tendering has become more competitive.  Proof itself is that Lotus Electrical Services Ltd has won three of the largest projects available within Dumfries and Galloway at the current time.

In our first year of entry to these prestigious awards we were short-listed in two categories. The results gave us recognition for all our hard work over the years: we were highly commended in the Best Health and Safety Initiative category and scooped the top award as Best Small Company. For three years running now we have been in the top three electrical contractors in Scotland for our Health and Safety Initiative as recognised by the industry standard.
