Lotus carried out the full installation of this historic monument which was being turned into a visitor attraction in Stranraer’s town centre. Our wiring method was PVC sheathed MI and had to be installed in a very delicate fashion so that no further deterioration would occur to the existing fabric of the building.

We have an ongoing maintenance and renewal programme to a large private commercial and educational campus facility in Dumfries. Lotus has its own cherry pickers to service this type of work.

The electrical systems within milking parlours are becoming more and more complex. The milk market is very commercially driven and the quality of the electrical installation from the outset is of huge importance to minimise downtime maintenance issues. This installation was carried out using SWA cable on trays to a minimum IP54 rating.

The boom in the price of eggs led to several poultry farms being built in our catchment area. We have worked within poultry farms for many years doing design and installation and were the obvious choice for several developers. These installations have developed over the past few years from traditionally being PVC conduit to being YY and SY cables installed on cable basket.

In association with Agrilight products Lotus Electrical Services Ltd carried out a full design and install of this specialist lighting system. The design was based upon giving the livestock 250 lux at ground level and increasing their hours of equivalent daylight. This system then has a knock-on effect by improving the livestock’s welfare and significantly increasing milk yield.

Lotus liaised directly with the client and offered imaginative and effective options within their budget for the complete refurbishment of a derelict farmhouse.

The wiring system was a PVC twin and earth cable. The project on completion will be advertised as five star tourist accommodation.
